Tom Thorson

When Tom turns his impressionistic stroke on the Black Hills the magic of this area comes alive. Though the work is complex the Black Hills scenes are as simple as a lazy afternoon hanging out at a Center Lake campsite.

Sunset is my favorite time to view Tom's paintings. With late afternoon light the paintings vibrate with a sense of relaxation and joy, much like the artist himself.
